whoa. fun. enjoyable. tiring. yawn.
had our PCP outing today! the finale and everything went fine nice and smooth =)
me rocked my way to toa payoh on 157 initially, and had a nice time on the bus reading my book. hee. and when i finally reached first toa payoh primary, the kids and some volunteers were already there so we bummed around for a while before setting off for Central Fire Station.. the kids were initally rather quiet on the bus, but due to doris and desmond's wacky fun and laughter, and the much fruity bombing we did on the bus, the kids warmed up relatively =) upon reaching central fire station, i went in search of my green team members.. had 6 elderly, 3 kids and 10 volunteers.. thankfully the elderly were all relatively mobile and did not require the wheelchairs, unlike de long's red group.. not that i mind, but twas had been a bit mafan la since we started with the heritage centre second floor and required the elderly to climb up the stairs. and oh! chee soon juan (yes that idiotic politician who never made much sense as compared MP zhan shi zhong) father was in my team! mr chee, also known as the elderly who had plenty of questions to ask along the way and we could never move until he badgered the firemen for the correct answer that he wanted. one good example was when he kept asking the firemen in charge of the firebike nozzles, what chemicals they used in putting out the fire when the firemen told him repeatedly that water was still the best liquid in putting out fires and mr chee refused to budge. sheesh. like hello. yeah. moved around the central fire station at hill street and the kids enjoyed the outdoors more than the indoors i suppose. cos there were life demonstrations outside with the aerial ladder where they took joyrides up and down the machine.. and fooled around with specialised equipment that the firefighters used.. basically we had already seen them all during our reccee but the kids loved it. oh i got 3 hyperactive boys for my group. raj, edmund and roland. raj had abit of the attitude problem but jenny warned him before we set off so yeah he behaved himself more or less during the entire trip. yeaps. ooh and the volunteer who went with raj was this damn cute indian guy with a nice bod and yuhui and i were oogling at him half the time. fine, we werent that mad la, but we were talking about him. hee. yuhui thought the hongkonger that the cute indian guy brought along was cute, but i dint think so. oh wells. grin. everybody went home happy and full (since there was meals sponsored by a fellow volunteer for a macs meal per person) and we were rather shacked and tired, but happy that everything turned out nice and fine. the weather was on our side, for it remained sunny and only rained after our activity for the day ended.
so after we finished our business at iconnect, 5 of us headed down to suntec to meet up with those who went to the elderly to go for dinner. apparently OJ had to come along as well. humph. such a sore thumb. we were gossipping about him in the train, i.e. the five of us.. me doris yuhui desmond and edmund. i mean, cant he tell that he's so extra and ostracised? sheesh. read my camp entry in march to understand why. hum. met yy (or rather she came after me) at city hall mrt, and she's having a class gathering. the nice thing about her class is that, they have a class gathering almost every weekend. it's nice to see that their class is still actively meeting up. unlike mine. oh wells. it doesnt help when it's actually the guys in her class who are initiating all the class gatherings. oh sigh. anyway. went to marche for dinner and we took the huge 15 seater table at suntec marche. ate and talked for a while before we all left for home, or to do shopping. me and delong took express 502 home all the way. chatted along the journey and he's a very nice guy to talk to. yeah. past the initial awkwardness during the camp, he's a very thoughtful guy, and very caring towards the elderly, since he's volunteering at silra home. yea. had a nice long chat with him on the bus all the way until i got off and reached home. hence me blogging now. yawn. honestly im rather tired. going out again tmr.
