updates!

turns out im blogging on the bus again.
its a saturday morning and im on a rush to school as my ltb team is doing their last rehearsals for their presentation coming monday. there has been some changes to the team, and i cant quite figure if its a good thing or not. all i do know, is that the team is going to have their event coming week 8 and i hope everything is going fairly smoothly for them. afterall, they are going to be running around singapore in an amazing race with the beneficiaries and i hope (like really really really hope) nothing goes wrong.


many things happened since wednesday. wheee~ *twirls around like a little girl*


wednesday was meet the roo day :) sounds as though i met the kangaroo hor? roo, you're a kangaroo! keke i shall be a nice girl haha. meeting roo was gooood as we had pastamania (the cheapest food i had from monday to wednesday!! >.< ) followed at b&j @ cathay's after heaps of shopping. yea yea we did shopping at the basement of PS again! PS basement seems to have tons of discounts all year round, so it seems. i bought like 2 tops and 1 skirt (denim!) for $51, beating roo by a mere $4 as she spent $47on two skirts from potpourri. i got my steals from outfitters and flesh imp! hehehe. twas so fun shopping with roo, with us attempting to control one another, yet wanting each other to outspend each other. and we came to the conclusion i had long legs. the seemingly average length skirts i wore, seemed to shorten miraculously when it came onto my hips. :( it looks as though i wear mini skirts perpetually. am upset ><

then after, i brought roo into SOB via the b1 lift, and i bet she had a great time ganging up with my fellow TAs to bully me. SOBS. yea yea i had a TA meeting at 7 with the fun gang to discuss highly confidential things (shall not mention lest any year Ones are here reading all these *gasp*) and dot bought haagen dias icecream for all of us! twas midnight smth and maca nuts! yummilicious (and fattening sobs)! but TA meeting was a pure hoot where we could drift off and watch hossan leong's youtube video singing the talking cock song in parliament, to watching some hardgay stuff (contributed by TIM!!) on youtube. in the end we all left at 9ish. eeeks.


thursday was collect the money from the year Ones day, where i sat in SOA gsr 2.4, waiting patiently (while attempting to play auditionsea in sch's lagging network) and when the year Ones finally came, my comp was blasting korean techno and i couldnt do anything because i was lagging and the year Ones came all at one shot, one after another. rahs. in the end i had almost 2.4k worth of money (tis ok to mention cuz i no longer have the money, it is now all with alvin!!) and 300 came in while i had class around evening. this much money was making me real freaked, so i dumped them all in the UOB cash machine hahaha and avoided bringing back that stupid lump sum of money. :)


friday was ACL test/isp mtg/tuition day!
had acl test from 12-3 and i can tell you, the test was frightfully draining. we were rushing through the entire thing and i can still remember the last few minutes vividly. it included a scene of me rushing out of the gsr in the library at 2.57pm, trying desperately to find eugene (whom i thought was at lvl 2 printing room but he turned out to be at lvl 3 -.- ) so i literally ran from lvl 3 to lvl 2 and back to lvl 3. the first bit of running i did for the day. and we were shouting across the library as to where to go to submit the workpapers and he ran, leaving the entire lvl 3 students looking at me as though i was a weirdo who dint understand the rules of the library. ><

then there was isp meeting where we had fun talking kok in the gsr, with us throwing totally silly ideas out, and debating on certain issues as well. we're gonna be holding interviews for the participants! gawd it has been ages since i conducted an interview, and i think that was like back in jc when we were holding interviews for the new exco from the j1s. i can still remember fondly, we had a exco meeting, and got the secretary wannabes to sit in during our meetings to take minutes, and then we compared who could take the best minutes! think it was chaorui (wonder where and what he is doing now.. gab had no idea where he went lols) and we were very surprised considering he was a guy (no offence!) and he came from tchs (aha!). hehe. but but isp meeting was fun, and interview dates scheduled to be next saturday. its gonna be hc maf day! who's going back? who's going back? me ruoling and xinxin (and im gonna drag tim down) are going back! so lets hope the interviews go without a hitch and everything will end on time, even better, early! then can go back and visit yong chye, see the light up across central plaza and sit at class bench to play bridge bridge! i wanna play bridge with ruoling (my all time fave partner huggies) and tim (i miss the funny ways he used to play bridge, giving me and sijia heart attacks and then winning it in the end). i havent played bridge for so long, but i dare admit, im still a bridge junkie. frankly, between mahjong and bridge, give me bridge anyways hahaha.
ohoh then after that me joyce and jy met rach for dinner and jy drove all of us down to bukit timah food centre for totally delicious satay beehoon, pasta and ngo hiang, coupled with big mugs of sugarcane :) now thats what i call, good food totally. i missed rach, miss seeing her around sch now that she's no longer wandering around sch like zombies like us ><
absolutely cant wait for the cookout on tues in the west (finally its a westie day!) hehe.
so in the end, i was late for tuition for half an hour, but nonetheless, its well worth it hee.


talked to dar on the phone last night. and he got a magicodar! a lousy one nonetheless, but it was fun hearing him tell me the long story over the phone, the ups and downs his emotions went through as he and cheryl battled out other maplers to get that damn cheap magicodar, only to end up thinking they dint get it when it was sitting safely in cheryl's inventory. diaos! and now he's broke again. sobs. im broke too, someone get a nicely scrolled OS for me pweetty please. brandon, jolvin, are you hearing?!? I WANT A PRETTILY SCROLLED OMEGA SPEAR PREEEEETY PLEASEEE! i think they'll ignore me though. :( bully me.


right now the bus is at specialist centre, and im reaching school!
speaking of which, i ran for my bus again today. i've been doing quite a number of short spurts in my birkis yest and today, and i can figure, thats not quite good for my feet. >< and im about to reach sch! took quite abit of time to do up this entry since i started blogging in clementi. so thats about half hour? alrighy better let my comp sleep cuz im getting off in like.. 2 stops. :)

and and i met gabriel for lunch today.
woot we went menotti at raffles city, and it was slurpilicious nice! i had the ravioli (black pasta with cod fish) and it looked kinda disgusting initially, but it tasted so cheesily good, followed by the chocolate cake (which was specially mentioned in the papers but i forgot the name) but my goodness the warm liquidly choc in the midst of the spongy choc cake was fantastic! we yakked over cups of cappucino and talked till the cows come home. i mean, it was a whole 3 hours of conversation before i realised the time la. hahaha. but it was great catching up with him! yy!! he intends to have his bday lunch with us on 14thOct, you free then? must chope you first :)

and my layout looks fine in firefox eh. aiyah dont use IE to read my blog lar, use firefox! alternatively, try setting the font size to smaller, it might just turn out fine keke. im too lazy to figure out whats wrong anyways. :)

i love listening/watching music/dance reality shows, for some reason or other. i followed sgidol1&2 faithfully, got myself hooked to so you think you can dance, superband (milubing gogogo! just heard their song over yes933 a while back!), campus superstar (yes i still think zhiyang was the deserving winner - plus the fact that he is from hcjc *winks*), projec t superstar AND of course american idol. though i havent been following the last few ones though. my all time favourite american idol series is the batch that produced fantasia, diana degarmo, latoya london, george huff, and john stevens! i totally lurvee latoya and george and john stevens!! i vaguely remembered seeing john stevens' cd in hmv heeren under the jazz section, but i didnt buy it then cuz i was broke! sobs. i wonder if its still available for sale now. humm. but im wondering why we havent been hearing from fantasia on the airwaves much, after the end of that season. as much as i dont really like her because she has a friggin big ego, she does have the vocal powess to speak, so where is she?!? and i would love so much to listen to latoya sing again, because that is a diva you cant quite find anywhere.

i feel like changing sodiume's eyes today, but i didnt. or else i'd look too alike to brandon's darling - allia. later we become twins at his maple marriage tmr LOLS. dar, got your invite yet? or brandon, are you inviting oomps? after reducing the maple time weekly to only about slightly less than an hour a week on average, i realise i miss the folks in game quite badly sometimes. maybe i should pop on more often to disturb them hiakshiaks.

was so effing tired yesterday, after reaching home at 10pm after tuition, i crashed out on my bed asleep at 11pm. 1 hour for me to unpack, bathe, check my email and KO on my bed, dead asleep. the schedule yesterday was so packed, with class starting at 12, group reflection session at 430 and then tuition at 7  (but i only reached at 745). everything was packed back to back tight, with only a 45 min break in between where i caught the usual gang in one of the biz gsrs and we had a friggin good time laughing our heads off at the bickering that was happening in the gsr. sometimes, admist the busy-ness of this sem, i kinda miss the laidback times i had back in year 1 and 2, which actually means more time for mapling.

i miss playing with my dar! and he says oomps misses sodiume tooo. hehe. good to hear that he's not happily off with some other girl, forgetting about sodiume instead. we had a late night talk on thurs (which wasnt that all fantastically late since i was whining i had to get off soon cuz of class the next day) and it was hell of a fun time trying to make him sing over the phone because he didnt sing during the ktv session we had just days before i flew off to china in june. ruoling, tim didnt sing, right right? he owes me one song!!!

i was supposed to have b&j icecream yesterday during group reflection session, but boohoo there was not enough space so we went down to cathay's basement instead. but i wasnt craving for shilin snacks! i wanted some choc b&j to make myself happy :( though i must say, seeing the usual gang cheered me up loads already.

ohoh and not to mention, some classic maths mistakes after giving brandon and my tuition kid tuition in maths.
brandon thinks that 2 X 2 = 2!!
and brentton (my tuition kid) draws a triangle instead of a rectangle, and insists that he has read the question and is right! now, since when does the spelling of a rectangle in any way resembles that of a triangle?!?! urgh.

okayyyy. so my mummy paid $60 for my 2 noda shoes. ><>< and im supposed to be saving. my mummy bought clothes too, for the upcoming many wedding dinners. OOOH and i lurve this pair of slinky black sports pants from purelime, its like smooth and niceee but it was $80 and i dint have the heart to spend some more. and and the skirt i was eyeing at utopia several weeks back, ITS GONEE. sobs.
maybe i should go back for that pair of black pants, its like damn comfy!
and i need a new school bag. my orange nike one is turning really dirty. on second thoughts, i should just go clean it hor. or maybe i should go dig out the other bags i have, which are chucked in one corner.

class started at 5pm. and it ended at 9pm. roars.
with lots of nonsensical questions asked in between.
we're starting a count of the number of nonsensical questions asked by each indiv that further pushes back the letting off of class. bah.

mapled a little with 4gotalready yesterday. was playing sneak.
and for once in a very long time, maple returned back to the initial days when sodiume and oompa were little newbies running around victoria island doing quests and going about matters together. it was fun, stress-less and carefree. who knows, sneak might get my undivided attention from now onwards.
training for sodiume is tiring. sighh. and her friends are all so way up front, it makes little sense to play her anymore.

so many reports to complete this week!
ethics case, ipr report, ipr case summary, aa summary.
i will attempt to do some while waiting for the vol leaders meeting at ncss later.
whats the time for that again, i think i better go check.


meanwhile, i shall worry about if there are enough plugs for us to use later while playing with acl during aa.

RANDOM THOUGHTS

i ditched my team today. FOR ONCE!
its high time i started doing so anyways. i cant be meeting them all the time.
and i finally had my first lunch OUT of school with elaine and xin - raffles city thai express bistro. the food was yummilicious and i swear that the servings are bigger than those at the usual outlets. at least the green curry chicken was. hahaha. we shared all our mains and ordered an extra entree, the chicken wing which was goooood. and this turned out to be a super belated bday lunch by those 2 babes.

its week 4 already. motor engine revved to high mode.
started mugging normal mode, and soon to switch to high mode.
one difference this sem is that, i've made the effort to really mug and read up for classes, unlike the past few years. though i think im still struggling behind for audit because of its weird timing, friday noon. :( i've gotta buck up!! but it feels good to be mugging. though i wont be having much of a rest until next june i guess.

started coordinating trip to cambodia and we had our first briefing last friday. alvin had fun teasing me and joyce about the horrendous shopping trips we made the guys go for in shanghai and i nearly threw some weird drink at him. the year ones were extremely amused. then me and alvin stayed back to discuss selection of main comn, while chatting with another year 2 who came to take a look, sharing our experiences and all. nice nice. :) it feels good to be participating in a cca, and combining it with doing what i love. :) and this time round, its not just local, its international. makes me feel good yea teehee.

im faintly amused that there are people out there who have the impression that singapore discovery centre = singapore science centre. the only common point they share, is that they are both located in the west.
and and some one actually asked, what has teaching national education has got to do with comn serve. i was faintly irked when i saw that comment. felt so 不值得 for my team. ><

comn serve doesnt have to be all about going to kids centre and teaching them skills. its not all about going to old folks home and brightening up their day.
community service is all about giving back to the community, the society.
its all about giving whatever you can to the society which has given you so much.
you cant judge and say, what is comn serve and what is not. it is not a tangible matter.

i guess, these people dont really know what this leadership teambuilding module is all about. its about returning something to the society in the best way you can, and building up your team leadership skills at the same time.

so disappointed with some of the responses i saw. sigh.

on a side note.
fluid bar today was nice! not food food, but i just like the place.
but today there was free food, free drinks and great company.
plus i got mistaken as one of the staff of pwc, it was hilarious. -.-
all in all, tonight was great! love the girls loves loves (:

TIMELINESS

i find myself being very neh-neh about timeliness.
whether people are on time or not.
whether reports due at a particular time are submitted or not.
whether we are back in time for class after break.
whether im keeping any one waiting.

as we grow older, people tend to become later and later.
and hence i try not to blame anyone when they are late because when dealing with such people, i do what others do unto me, and that is, i be late as well.
however, it is still within me that i be on time for every single thing if possible.
which lead yuan to comment once that, she knows i'll definitely be early or on time, so she does the same for me. i like her, this kinda people.

as of what led me to come up with this post,
is that..
im frustrated with one particular group member who was supposed to submit her part by noon today.
but as of now, there has been absolutely no news from her!! nothing, no emails, no msn, no smses.
friggin fuck. what, im supposed to be doing her part for her when im only doing the compilation?

SUNDAYS.

right now im in school.
yes you read me right, in school on a sunday afternoon. yawns. waiting for a meeting at the moment, but somehow im feeling really sleeeeeepy.

school is tiring me out so much, i feel like putting a stop to my tuition assignments. a 5 day week saps the energy out of you, leaves you with almost no time to study, and then my weekend is taken away by tuition. its really energy draining. and it doesnt help that thursdays and fridays always seem somewhat longer. in fact i've left school at 9pm when the skies are dark and the sun set.
but i shall attempt to slave on. i shall try. better than not trying.

though i must say, i succumbed this weekend and cancelled the tuitions on saturday so that i can catch up with work. and its not helping that my ethics team are not giving me their work on time. BAH humbug. sigh.

the week ahead looks gloomy. now that sodiume is 80 and wielding the dang magnet all thanks to brandon, i think i shall stop thinking so much about mapling and concentrate more on getting my work done. but i swear im not retiring. i'll play when i have the time. meanwhile, time is of most precious to me right now. >.<

this sucks you know.
at this rate, i may have to start cancelling dates with friends and it's not gonna be good because i need them to help me stay sane.
btw, ruoling can we not meet on a wednesday for movie/dinner? i just realised at night got sgidol which i wanna catch >.< thats my only tv time now. im saddd. :(
i cant wait for forbidden city man. 1 week odd more!!!
