totally loved the music in the movie. and apparently i dint know there was an orginal dirty dancing. ended up i found mp3s from both dirty dancing and dirty dancing havana night soundtrack.

watching them gyrating their hips and losing themselves in the power of music, it makes me feel like doing so too. :) man its totally nicee.
dont ask me why, but i've been watching alot of dance movies recently.

i can dance, just not as often as i like.
remembered the times during red cross, always putting up dances for events and parades during the performance time. and during red cross talentime, me cyn and eda were the threesome doing a dance item. eda the dance expert chose me and cyn, honoured sia. haha. but then, too many late practices, and my mum forced me to drop from it. wasted efforts. but i had a nice time dancing. maybe thats why i chose to be in charge of house mass dance then? stopped dancing for a while, until we hit jc when mass dances were a plenty. and i still love our year fac dance. it was damn nice. in fact, i would say, the nicest fac dance in our year. like seriously! hahaha.

it has always been work, play work play.
keeping myself occupied, spending time with my loved ones :D

spent a simple day at fishball's place, hanging out with my bestest closest friends ever and having hell of a time. :D
we even managed to play mahjong, with fishball's mum kw fishball and kailyn! :)
yy's family are the nicest family i've ever met. always welcoming us to her house. i feel as though we're part of the family. :) and kw seems to have settled down pretty well in the household. looks like future son-in-law to them. HAHAHA. good luck dude. he's a nice guy, i think. he and yy, same pattern de lor. blur as sotong, funny at the same time.
im sure kailyn enjoyed herself today..
we should go yy's place again next week :) to swim, to bowl. anything! just to spend quality time with my friends, before we hit hongkong for major shopping!

the classic moments were when we were trying to screw everyone's game, so when each of us have our turn, there's bound to be someone waiting right behind to bowl for us [and give us longkang balls] or someone will step on the line to make it beep!

joycet managed to get the ball, she rolled it, kw rushed down the side trying to stop the ball.
in the panic amidst, joycet stepped on the line to foul the ball. and kw thought it fouled because he was trying to stop the ball! and you should have seen how joycet stepped on the line! like a little kid denied of his lollypop and stomped in a temper. WAHAHAHA.
i laughed until i nearly died. and yy missed the whole show cuz she was on the phone with her mum! awww. grin.
after that i went into a mad high and tried every single ball possible! wheee! grin.

anyways. had video showing at ncss yesterday. an alright no of people came, but most of the committee members were there except for fucai gary and him. got class mah. haha. then we were just jokiing and having fun. :D and the video was damn funny! soon tien sent it to me via msn le. and they decided not to follow up on the children camp idea. which was kinda expected cuz the children sector volunteers werent exactly enthu about it in the first place. oh wells. shrugs. and hence me peiling and soontien were just slacking around. ended up watching last year's video, when i was one of the participants. and realised i've changed alot since then. seriously. i should ask those who has seen me then and now, whats the difference. soontien said it was something to do with the jc and uni look. very different. okayyyy.

slept for about 4 hours odd this morning. thankfully it was only invigilation today and i spent most of my time reading in the staff room. mixed ard abit more with the ugts today, got to know one of them better. she's real nice :) which then brings back memories of last year when i had simply tons of fun hanging out with the ugts ard during my time, people like daniel yuanshin and wanting. the times we spent cracking our brains to set EL comprehensions for the sec ones and coordinating our timings for lunches and wrecking havoc when we dint have to go for the meetings. yea. those were the times. i wonder where they are teaching now. sighh.
maybe thats why teaching last year was so enjoyable.
this year, the old colleagues are still very nice. and miss siew [aka mayling] is very nice and sweet too! but somehow, i look at the ugts, and think back of last year.
and with the corner cubicle im given in the staff room, its hard not to feel a little lonely inside. especially when you're still the youngest in the staff room. but tis okay, students keep popping by to say hi :D like today, when some of the 2e4 girls came over to chitchat. aww so sweet. grin.

such a hot day today. went out in sleeveless and shorts for tuition. and i was still feeling hot.
so decided to switch on aircon today. mind you, i usually dont. cuz the wind on the 16th floor is pretty strong at my place, considering there are no nearby flats to block the wind.

left the school soon after janice finished to meet kailyn at jec.
went pop, and we looked at assessment books for over an hour. she was looking at the pri sch syllabus while i mulled over if i should buy situational writing to prepare notes for my tech class. in the end, i decided i should borrow from jamie instead. heee. checked out my wuxia games as well, and the one i was eyeing was gone already! bahh. will try and look for it at simlim, when we go get kailyn's digicammie. after roving around pop, we headed back to jec to grab a bite, and checked out the ice skating rink as well. the last time we ice skated was in pri school! and i dont even think i ice skated then. hahha. but we found a day with reasonable price and rental of skates as well. students on wed :D heee. should learn ice skating by end of 4 months. one girl looked darn cool ice skating la. hehehe.

then we chilled out at the lib. by sitting at the cafe, reading and seated comfy on the red cushion seats. the only downside was, at the presentation area, they were preparing for some presentation tmr, and kept replaying the video clip over and over again. twas so irritating.
as usual, i had only space to borrow one lib book but i took, uhm. 8 books? heee. but it was easy to choose what i wanted, but with a little help from kailyn of course. and we settled dinner at the cafe before going home. :D
it was a nice day.

and i love kailyn!
we have reached a point whereby, how we think, is comfortingly similar. we are able to figure out what each other is thinking, without having to say it out. silence is comfortable, and with any action, we know how each other feel. we like doing things the same way, and yea, we are quite similar. in every way possible.

talking about our friends and how they work. cuz her friends were trying to get her out for mahjong later tonight [which was later changed again to just town outing..] on the spur of the moment. and i was telling her, if my friends did that to me, i wont be interested.

im not the on-the-spur of the moment girl.
i like to know things beforehand, and not go out *snap* just like that. i like to plan my days, my schedule. so that i can leave some days to rest at home, and some days to work, and keep some days for friends to chill out with. ask me to go out when im home curled up in my bed with a good book and good music, i'd tell you to chill on your own.
at the same time, i absolutely hate it when people pangseh me last minute. really you will get it from me if you do that to me. like. i need time to prepare, need time to travel. all these time can be put to better use if you tell me in advance that the event is cancelled. also, you bring my hopes high that "oh im gonna be meeting XXX today, and i'll be having fun!" and then, you dash my hopes by saying that the meeting is cancelled. i'll prolly ignore you for like the next week. hahaha. im not referring to anyone in particular, im just voicing out my thoughts.
but then again, no one in my group of friends are rude enough to pangseh without notification. or rather, maybe they just dont wanna make me flare. hahhaa. possible. grin.

today was nice. cuz even though i left school later. [only slightly at about 2 plus after i was trying to control myself from disturbing justin who was doing his chi make up test at my table. HAHAHA] i did plenty of stuff that really caused me to relax. cuz it was raining when i was on the bus. so i decided to do the switch bus thing again. took 176 to jurong east, switched to 335, and took it for one big round back to jurong east and took 98A which was a round return bus that made its uturn at corporation road. so i happily slept on the bus, till i felt the bus came to a stop. and realised the female bus driver was changing the sign before moving off. and i was the only one left on the bus. and she saw that i woke up, and said in chinese [which was what i heard vaguely through my headphones] "xing le ah?" meaning. "you woke up le?" OOPS. then i dropped off at my place. at around 4 plus. 2 hours of bus ride. hahaha.
yea la im madd. but i'd take bus over train. ANYTIME.
and as usual i was reading my book and listening to my baby at the same time.

reached home, took a bowl of grapes, fell on my bed and continued reading.
while munching on grapes. seedless grapes! cuz im lazy. hahaa.
and i was reading all the way from 4 plus to about 6 plus.
2 solid hours of reading.
should be able to finish the book by tonight.

as usual of me, its a thriller. for this, its a scientific thriller, talking about multiple personalities having lifes of their own. its really quite interesting. im sure most of us, when we were young, had imaginary friends. did we really imagine them, or were they part of us. did we grow out of them, or did they just go back into our bodies and souls, and reemerge as part of us? do think about it. its really nice. :D

cleared oven baked and mango dessert [the cheesecake with mango accessories de..]. for once i dint order mudpie or choc stuff! hahaha. kailyn was amazed by the amount i could eat when i was upset.
then walked all the way to overseas family centre carpark cuz she left her debit card there. without it, we couldnt buy her bro's birthday pressie. which was bought ultimately at lido isetan and i splurged on earrings again! 3 pairs, 12 bucks. cheap lei. but it caused kailyn to tsktsk at me cuz i bought big earrings again and wore it immed after we got it. and i kept swinging the earrings to irritate her with the noise! hahaha. :D i love big earrings :D
watched sahara. initially it was quite slow.. but i got totally high nearing the end! its darn good during the middle and end parts! i LOVVEEE the part with the 150 year old cannon ball rolling about in the helicopter, glowing.. and finally KABOOM! muahaha. i love such shows. sahara is not so much national treasure, hence it wasnt that entertaining.. but the two male leads were darn cute and funny!

at least i have some idea of what i wanna blog today mah. yesterday was just a kok rehash of what happened the night before, to pen things down before i forget them :)

was watching the charity show just now actually. in fact it is still going on now. but somehow, the dangerous acts of the local artistes aint half as attractive and mesmerising as the one last week, with the overseas singers with zhen ni and emil chou. boy zhen ni was soo captivating and me and my sister found ourselves singing to emil chou's songs. and ya, i was watching it right before the day of AS. hahaha.
so im back in my room.


ehh. popped out to watch ENERGY on the charity show. :D their dance moves are still as good as ever, but it felt weird watching 3 people dance. cuz ahdi was injured i think. and it used to be a 5 man show when toro was around. that was the time.. to think i was crazy over them when i was in j2.. over their fast songs and nice dance moves :D
and now ruoling is off to pompom in the pool cuz she insists weather over in the east is HOT. but im feeling nice here. as in, the weather has been rather pretty today here in the west :) yeaps. considering i had tuition from 10-6 and dint feel like falling asleep in the afternoon, i'd say the weather was pretty good. been revising work with my students and i have 2 students who cant stop giggling when we do sexual reproductive systems. i.e. rach and kangrui. two different reactions though. rach giggles out of embarrassment. kangrui giggles out of knowledge! ARGH. and kangrui asked me if the semen from the male productive system was transparent. HOW THE HELL WOULD I KNOW?!? [but i think it is. is it?] i told her to ask her classmate. and she "eeee" at me. and when we moved on to permanent birth controls, i asked her to make a guess where the snip would be. she adamantly stated "of course the penis la! long long de, very easy to cut. like tai jian liddat." walau i penged on the spot lor. like seriously. AHHH. and she said she has seen a condom before cuz her uncle showed her before. BIAN TAI! [for the record, i have seen one before, but that was cuz we had to get it for amazing race last year. fishball bought it for us and me and ruoling were just examining it. or was it me and fishball examining it. and we threw it to kh and kw cuz we thought they'd need it more than we do! not forgetting chunhow, he's damn cute! hahaha. or else how to be my teachers' pet last year? haha. can still remember how he smartly chose to hide behind me the minute i stepped into class for EL lesson cuz chihou was chasing him all over the class. i remember justin commenting about chunhow being smart, to use ms teo as dang jian pai. HAHAHA.
i miss the times when i was teaching. till now edmund likes to jokingly ask me to go back and teach geog, cuz he hates his current geog teacher. hehe. but he's the only one who truly understands that i cant cuz im studying now.
but now, considering its the hols, think i might call hillgrove and tell them im free for relief teaching.. see if they have any one or two day thing for me. it would be nice to go back and surprise the students. who are all sec2s and 3s already. goodness i really miss them. hahaha.

YAY and i finally borrowed books. it was soo nice to not control the urge to borrow books. and thank goodness i could borrow cuz I FOUND MICHAEL PALMER'S NEWEST NOVEL "THE SOCIETY" on the shelves. :D :D :D :D :D should have seen my own reaction. first i gasped. then i sqeaked. then i stared. cuz i was racking through my brain, to check if this title existed in my head before, cuz i've finished reading all his previous books le. and then, after a 5sec scan to confirm i havent, i took the book excitedly and flipped it open to the publishing page. it said at the top. "a bantam book/August 2004" NEW BOOK NEW BOOK! i havent read a new book of his ever since eons ago! cuz i finished reading all of them long time ago. read him, if you're interested in medical thrillers. i recommend you start with "the patient" cuz that was the book that captivated me right from the beginning. :D

and he hasnt returned me my book yet. humm. together with one other book. i wonder what book that is.
and im about 5/8 through palmer already. cuz i started immed when i was on my way to teban tuition. then was reading while watching tv just now. and was reading while msning just now. hahaha. cant really tear me away from my books la. :D but one thing though, i couldnt find chick flick books at jurong point library. not many of them. think they specialise more in thrillers. should hit jurong east lib for chick flick books :D ken follette looks good too. sci tech/medical thriller writer. wheee! i love all kinds of thrillers :D and chick flick books! but then again, i read almost everything.


OH. was reading cleo this morning [i NEED to have reading materials wherever i go la. so i bought cleo when i realised i had nothing in my bag.] and there was this article talking about Singaporeans being a sloppy lot. and one interviewed said, "I think it's shocking when people wear slippers and shorts to shopping centres situated in town! It looks so inappropriate." righttt. so it is inappropriate to walk around town for lunch in pe attire? im sure plenty students do that. we look sloppy? we cant help it though. im damn sure i'd be wearing shirt shorts and slippers very often around town next time when town campus is done. i mean, i cant be dressing up 24/7 just to go SCHOOL right? school is a environment for us to study. i do not need to dress up just to fit in with the environment right. i know, we need to respect others and ourselves, hence we should dress up [if you understand what im trying to say here.] but hello, i need comfort in my learning environment and i darn well dont need nice classy clothes to study. HMPH. can i help it if my sch campus is in town?

wahhh. after exams seem to be doing bad for my brain.
i cant seem to blog properly now. think im still mentally dead after last night/this morning. hahaha.

had finance paper yesterday. which was the worst nightmare ever. buanged it left right centre, worse than MA paper. couldnt do more than half the questions and it was 42 mcq, 18 true false questions. bahh. anyway its over. finally :)
the long awaited liberation.
and last night was total madness! hahahaha.
usual 5 of us went to toa payoh to meet their friend, astee to kbox. and we kboxed from 7pm to 3am! 3 full solid hours! and we only paid for the 7-12midnight slot i tell you. we just dint leave after paying, and they dint chase us out. well, not until 3am when they were about to close. hahaha.
then we split up and cabbed to astee's place for mahjong. and along the way we met with a police road block. first time in our lives! hahaha. jia was sitting in front, so she was fine. but me and xin, we were at the back and we dint bother with seat belts. so we were frantically pulling at the seat belts and mine was stuck. simply cuz i was tugging too hard. hahaha. and our taxi uncle was damn funny, he was like "aiyoh chill.. in front still got car.." hahaha. meanwhile, elaine was saying in their cab, the taxi uncle was panicking instead. but partially cuz they hit the roadblock first mah. hahaha.

reached astee's place and set up mahjong table. started playing mahjong and my brain was dead by then. zha hu-ed once and i was so blur about it. then i got a crash course from all of them about what to look out for, the tais and everything! ended up i was damn stressed [over mahjong, yea you heard me right] and wasnt looking at the tiles on the floor. hahaha. paid tuition fees for mahjong but it wasnt alot la. hahaha. thanks girls for such a wonderful 12 hours of kbox and mahjong. we should do it again during the 4 month break!

then i rushed home. slept on the bus for less than an hour cuz 157 was damn fast! went for tuition @ rach and realised there was no way i could make it down for beyond wsg this afternoon. changed plans and hit home instead. so i slept from 2-7pm. and im still sleepy. with a headache loooming about. bahh.

feeling a little lost though. hols have officially started and i dont know where to begin. starting training on my own on monday i guess, now that kailyn cant work at ducktours with me. stupid ocbc, for offering her the intern. bahh. hahaha. dear no offence yea? so roam around town alone on monday. then tues need to go back sch for events meeting. then meet kailyn! decided to push part 2 of training to wednesday. then kailyn can come roaming around town with me. wonder if steamboat/mahjong still on at anna's place on thurs..
i should start working soon. hurry up train, research and pass the assessment. at least then, i wont be passing the 4 months hols in a sense of blur-ness. and before i start whining and complaining. hahaha. i need to plan my holidays. :D

know what i enjoy doing after each and every paper?
i simply love to pack away my books and papers for that particular subject, knowing that i wont have to see it again [hopefully*crosses fingers*] and keep them nice and neat AWAY behind the glass panels on my shelves. wahahahs.
its a habit of mine. to pack everything away. and if i ever need them, i know where to find it. and there is this indescribable feeling of seeing the pile of books and notes get smaller and smaller over the week. when i finish a paper, i cant wait to come home and pack them all away. especially when its an open book paper. all i need to do is to file them nicely and put them in order behind the glass panels. books with books, files with files. no extra papers lying around. whoa i love that feeling of having nothing on my table and bed except for novels and laptop! :D hahaha.

from tmr to saturday evening, i will prolly get less than 2 hours of sleep. and that 2 hours of sleep will start from toa payoh early in the morning on bus 157 when i rock my way home. cuz there's kbox and mahjong starting after finance tmr. then stayover mahjong at astee's place until next morning. but i gotta reach home by 8.. cuz i have tuition at rach at 10! hahah madness aint it. so im intending to sleep on 157 and rock my way home on the bus. so as long as i have my baby zen, it should be alright. hahaha.

friday: finance @ 2pm. kBox @ 7pm.
saturday: mahjong at 0000. tuition @ 1000. beyond wsg @ 1400. nothing at night, so .. FISHBALL are we having dinner? grin.
sunday: tuiton 1000 - 1800.

actually. if i had the time over this weekend, i would love to go for the dance movie screenings at the stadium waterfront, just outside singapore indoor stadium. think its $16.. and they are showing movies like "shall we dance", "honey", "dirty dancing" etc if i dont remember wrongly.. mm. but the only time i have is sunday night i think.. and it ends at 12 midnight, which equates to no transport home. dont know if kailyn is interested. shall ask her later. or tmr. provided if they still have tix. :D think she might be interested. :D i think. hahaha.

something came to mind today when we were talking about kbox and clubbing.
people who k songs usually dont club. people who club usually dont k songs.
i mean, ultimately there are occasional people who do both ktv-ing and clubbing. but really seldom. think people like cq. and doug. hahaha.
are there people who dont club and dont ktv? that will be real. weird. heh.
cuz i think the people who club are more ang-moh whereas the people who k songs at least know chinese songs and follow the latest chinese songs. and people who k songs are more.. homely whereas people who club have a more active night life, more party-ish. that's what i think la. at least thats what i see.
this two groups of people are very different. such that these two groups of people dont mix around that much. i mean, we do but our closer friends usually belong to the same group. get what im saying? im not surprised if you dont. hahaha.
and i admit, i love KTV-ing! hahaha. and i hate clubbing. the smoke, the thongs of people. bahh. and i dont have transport home late in the middle of the night, neither do i have rich friends who have cars to fetch me home and i refuse to spend $10odd 20 bucks on cabfare just to indulge myself in smoky air and die of passive smoking before im hit 40 years of age. and girls if you're not careful, sure kena grope. so there. HAHAHA.

which explains the type of friends i have as well. :D maybe not kailyn though. i mean, she clubs occasionally. but thats cuz she has a car. or plenty of friends who have cars who can send her home. the disgustingly rich med people who are nice but just have too much money, plus cars. similar sort of people you can find at smu but i dont hang around them.

have never buanged a paper like this before. or rather, maybe i have, back in jc, when i was doing the fmaths papers. it feels exactly the same, come to think about it.

in case the ignorant ones dont know, ma = management accounting.
like damnit man, kta's papers are fucking hard. twisted and blearh? bahhh.
i might fail. or end up with a D. unless he moderates. which makes my ma grade either a C or D. bahhh.
i dont feel that tormented actually. maybe cuz it simply feels exactly like fmaths, cuz you know you've already tried, and there's nothing more you can do really. but unlike fmaths, we have plenty of block tests to buang before it comes to the real Alevels. for MA, the quizzes aint even reflective cuz they are MCQ and the final exam has only 4 long questions. bahhh.
im not exactly despaired over it. more like resigned to my fate. of having a possibility of retaking the course again? yea its that badd.
questions 1&3 were gone case. my NPV was wayyy too much. first it had too much loss. after i changed something, NPV was wayy too high. wtf?!? question 3. hahaha. i solved it the primary school way i think. addaddaddaddadd. oh i think this is the total variable cost. uhm. think i minus it after then. minusminusminus. now what do i do next? bahh. whacked my way thru question 4, thankfully i remembered that trips are always two way. hence i rmbed to times 2. question 2 is my only saviour, but its only 18 marks. WAHAHAHA. uhm yea. fmaths was either an O or F. hence im quite thankful for my B ultimately during Alevels. wasnt expecting much mah. hahaha.

went town for lunch just now. ate at subway (yea again. the last time i ate subway was last friday. for lunch after interview on my way home. cuz i was craving for subway.) with elaine jia gina and xin. then we went for waffles at gelare cuz tuesday is waffles day! hahaha. imagine, 5 girls finishing 4 large waffles with icecream. HAHAHA. and xin ate the most! she may look small and petite, but the way she cleared the plates. like WHOA. hahaha. and food therapy does good to post MA. :D really. hahaha.
cant wait for friday when we kbox and mahjong our night through after finance paper :) cant wait to go high during kbox.

we're often dealt second chances and you often find that its always during the second chance, that you'll get to know the people alot better. me and yuan were just talking about it the other day. and yea, when i look back in life, i realise alot of people reappeared in my life. and now, most of them are part of my life. my closest friends.

remember how close you me and eileen were during first three months in hc? yea i remember those times vividly. and then you couldnt stay, and went to nj. missed you terribly during j1. but as time passed, all of us drifted apart, being in different schools and all. even eileen and i drifted apart. she busy with her huang cheng and canoe, me with interact. even though we were still in the same class. and now look, you're one of my closest smu friends. in acct together, and someone whom i rely on alot. even when we're not in the same classes. someone whom i can whine to, talk to, bitch to, go maddd together during ktv. really. i really really appreciate this second chance given to me. i love you :)

mm. apparently my sister thinks my old cds are free to take.
cuz i just burnt a cd for her, and wanting to place it in her radio for her, i opened it and found my sClub cd inside. and she koped my "superfresh" album for her own as well. i wonder what else is with her that i dont know of. why is she listening to sClub now?!? wahahs. bought the sCLub album when i was in sec 2 i think.
that was when cheesy pop songs were still the rage. and i was crazy over A1. hahahas. and backstreet boys, cuz of the prefects dance! :) and of course, i still think nsync's "no strings attached" album is the best pop album ever. without a doubt.
oh man. those were the days. sec sch days.
recently i was in a poppish fever, and went to search for all the old pop songs. especially those performed by the prefects, those BSB songs. hahaha. deep impression huh.
then just a few days ago, i was in a rockish mood. which explains why im listening to simple plan, 3 doors down, blink 182, bowling for soup etc. not the hard rock kind, somewhere in between.
and a few weeks ago, i was in a jazzy mood. which explains renee olstead and michael buble.
and. and. quite some time ago, i was in a world music mood. which explains the weird tracks i have that my sis scrunched up her nose at when she was looking at my music library. she was like "jie, you listen to arabic music?!?" HAHAHA. not funny darling. :)
i realise, im usually not in the hiphop mood, cuz i just simply dont like that genre of music. HAHA.
OH. and of course, not forgetting new age, gregorian music. heard from miranda the gregorian new age festival is coming to esplanade late june early july. IT SIMPLY CANNOT BE MISSED.

AND. tix sales for arts fest opens today! wonder what will be interesting to catch then. someone was asking if i was interested in swan lake. yea i am. but the tix price is HIGHHH. i missed budak pantai's concert last night. my cousin told me it was a blast. wahhhh.
whine. and cowpat was telling me last night they might not perform in may. too shiong la.

even by then if there's none. school will be in town. near YMCA. so i can just easily stay back in sch, study. and then pop in for budak concert anytime :) whee!

had an eventful day yesterday. to keep it simple, i met roo for movie [my treat!]. we feasted in lido classic with subway sandwich [steak and cheese, we took half each :) ], subway cookies [her treat] and she ate curry puff as well. the thing is, we both had lunch before that. MUAHAHA.
caught the wedding date, and it was quite a sweet show. really. a tad show, but not bad la. i'd rate it a $6.50 show, not worth it to catch it on a weekend. next up. i wanna watch SAHARA.
in any case, do catch the pacifier. its damn funny, you can laugh till your sides ache. i had plenty fun watching that on small screen. grin. you know what i mean. :)
spanglish is not bad too, just that its ending was a tad sad. i was like, "you mean its just gonna end like that?" disappointed yea, but it covers alot of meaningful issues that could have been delved deeper into if they dint try to cover so many issues. yeaps. through the eyes of the maid. not a bad movie. just blame it on its weird opening day, such that by the time exams end, it would have ended its run in theatres. but i caught it anyway. so yeaps.
i wanna watch guess who! it looks damn funny. black family with a white son-in-law to be. teehee. hahaha.
anyways, bought roo her belated birthday pressie and she chose it herself! :) she's 18!!

been listening to chinese and canto songs for the past two days while studying.
yea there's still the chinese song streak in me, just not as passionate when i was younger. and i miss the good old songs when i was younger. i just dont really like songs nowadays. even though older songs tend to be cheesy at times? yea. give me that any time really.
kinda pride myself for being able to tune to both chinese and english songs.
i mean, like what elaine pointed out once, its quite hard to appreciate both english and chinese songs together. maybe for people like me, who are brought up in a chinese speaking environment, yet schooled in an english speaking environment, we will find it easier to switch from eng to chinese and back to eng. be it for languages or songs. yeaa.
cant quite help it if the family radio is tuned to LOVE 97.2 everyday, and my sis's radio is tuned to either yes933 or perfect10. for me, its either my laptop, class95, lush99.5 or ufm100.3. tend to go for stations that are not widely listened, with the exception of class95. glenn ong and the flying dutchman never fail to make me laugh in the mornings. but i do miss the times when rod was together with them. all the mornings spent on the bus travelling to school listening to them, and clutching my stomach trying not to laugh out loud at their suaning at each other, and constant cheesy crappy jokes. those were the days man.
and i do realise, the canto version of hk songs are always much nicer than the chinese version. take for example eason chan, he's the king of hk pop and his chinese songs are always superb. but his canto songs are even better. man. just listen to k ge zhi wang, and shi nian. powerrr. hahahs. and of course, all time favourite daniel chan, though i dont know if he's still coming up with albums. gotta check with my sis on that. yeaa. :) so shuai. hahahas.

ooh good news from my sis this afternoon. rvhs chorale got gold with honours for their choir syf this year! which means, they get to perform at the esplanade this july :) think my mum is gonna scream. she cant wait for my sis to get out of choir and focus on studies for Olevels this year. uhm. uhm. i gotta stand by my sis for this one, cuz after all she is sec 4, and wants to perform one last time with rv chorale. so why deprive her of the chance? damn proud of my sis.

me and my sis have grown up alot ever since the past. the past referring to times, where two stubborn gits refuse to give in to each other, and end up barking at each others' heads all night long, and slamming the doors in each other faces. in place, we have two mature ladies, helping each other out as much as possible, bringing back snacks and tidbits each other like to eat. partially becuz we have aged [aw what a bad thing to say. teehee.], and at the same time, stress is piling on each of us. she has seen me go through depression times last year during first sem when i couldnt adapt and everything seemed to be falling down on me, in return i've seen her working late nights on her physics and chem which she really tried to slog for, yet still obtaining absymal results for it. being her elder sis, i've tried to help her along, by staying up with her, teaching her and encouraging her along the way, giving her the much needed massages, sweets and chocs. as for her being the sweet younger sis, she has always cheered me up by using our soft toys, tagging at my blog last year as anonymous people trying to make me smile in times of gloomy weather.
we've grown to understand each other much better, and we know things about each other that even our parents dont know about. thats how close we are now. if you'd ask me about this 4 years ago, i'd have never thought we could reach such an amiable situation.
nowadays, she'd drop me smses like a friend, even when we're both working in different rooms, or outside and we'd msg like friends. :) and of course, whenever im out, i'd msg back and ask her if she wants me to bring anything back for her. of course, i dont splurge on her lest she asks for more each time hehe. but i do reward her when the time comes, like for her Olevels chinese, i bought her the jay chou vcd as a reward for getting A1 + distinction. she was so proud of me, she announced me on her blog and invited jealous tags from her friends saying that their sis/kors never got them anything for the results they've got. and when she proudly showed the tags to me, i was rather amused, yet proud of her at the same time. we're showing our appreciation of each other in a different way, me on my blog and her on hers. i know she reads mine, and she also knows i read hers. so yeaps.

i need to try and control my dearest sis.
she asked me to help her check her ebloggy when i came online just now. her syf is tmr, and she posted a short entry, in high hopes that her major crush would leave a note for her. and when i checked her ebloggy for her, TADA the note from her crush was there. twice in two entries in two days. she was crazily happy and grabbing my arm tightly. ARGH. pain lei dearest. but pretty glad that her crush gave her that essential strength of support and encouragement for her last and final choir SYF this year. she's been whining loads about being sec4, last year in choir and as such, she'll miss her friends. yea i get what she feels, just like when i was back in sec 4. the times back in rg.. sigh. the good old times. with PSB, with the class. and a particular someone. thinking about the good old times all of us shared. dont ask me why, but she just appeared in one of my random thoughts today. maybe cuz i was looking at sec 4 class photos? plus, joycez mentioned her the other day in her blog. guess all of us still miss her loads. haii.

i like making biz law notes, reminds me of j2 when i was making chem notes.
a pile of pens on my right, and drawing block right in front of me. one major chapter per drawing block page. COOOL aint it?
hahaha. and i miss the times when i used to draw.

when i was heading to rachs place for tuition on sunday, i saw two familar faces. two art seniors who used to teach us drawing at boon lay art centre. ms tan and .. another tall lanky geeky guy. dont think anyone reading would know who im talking about.. yea. unless you're eunice, kahyin or siyin.. but i doubt they read it. ALMOST walked up to them to say hi, but i think they wont remember me, cuz the last time i was there as an art student was when i was in sec 3. the year before i quit to concentrate on Olevels. and i dint go back to art class after that. quite a waste, yea. and i do miss the times we spent working on watercolour paintings, oil and acrylic paintings, pencil sketches.. the times we criticise each other over the paintings, help each other queue in line to wait for grading from mr yap, help each other look for scenery when we do outdoor painting, and share our resources, resultting in us bringing less materials. the times when eunice's mum used to buy us snacks and food while we paint outdoors. the innocent carefree times when i allowed my hands to paint a picture of what i wanted and thought life would be, the scenery that showed me serene and peace, the fun and jostling activities festivals and streets using watercolour paintins, and trying to emulate the seniors by creating cracks and creases on the acrylic and oil paintings.
gosh. i miss painting. and i still have my artwork at home. together with my materials, brushes, board and paper. but i think the materials cant be used anymore.
now i always pass by boon lay art centre on bus 99 on sunday mornings when i go for tuition, and i always crane my neck, to see if the doors are open. and i think if they are still split according to western art A/B, intermediate and so forth. and i think if i were there, what would i be now. and how my level of painting would be. i can still remember, when we were in sec 2/3, me and a few others were made junior leaders, and we were so proud of ourselves, leading the group in the boon lay art song whenever we go outdoor for class. i wonder if they still do it now. i remember, though we were always stressed by the final year exams that determined our yearly promotion, we still manage to scrape past it every year, with an occasional trophy or two if we were lucky enough. i wonder if they still do that.
all the childhood memories coming back to me now..

bahh. playing bridge with seniors is so stressful!
plus the fact that i havent played bridge for such a long timee..
and eugene and tim are bullying me and grace. wahh. im the only junior there.
feels weird to be calling myself junior amongst the seniors. but look at it this way, all of us are growing up. the guys are out of ns alr, and grace is going year 3 next year. and us year 2!! scary scary.

managed to control myself when i stepped into jurong point lib to return rimei's book, and then i JUST HAD to walk into the library to look around. NEARLY borrowed books to read, which is immed sucide considering exams are like next week? hence i controlled myself. PHEW. if i had really borrowed books, i wont be studying for exams alr.
THEN. stepped into world of sports.
wanted to buy a new pair of teva slippers [thongs/flipflops, whatever you call them]. bought the pink striped one. so far so good.
was on the way to rachelle's place for tuition, realised i had some time to spare, so popped into westmall, initially wanting to visit the library [AGAIN?!?] but i was distracted by the newly opened world of sports along the way. stepped in and saw a damn nice pair of teva slippers which was red and orange. I LIKE! so guess what happened, i bought it.
AHHH. 2 teva slippers in one day, splurged $60 on 2 pairs of slippers.
luckily something like this rarely happens, say maybe twice a year or something? unless im on a major shopping trip la. wahahas.
i swear, i will not bring my atm card out next time when i go for tuition.
i managed to stop myself from borrowing books, but i couldnt spare myself the 2 nice pairs. teehee.

HMPH. wahahas.
hence yea, get teva footwear! :) wheee.
